| Currently there is an issue installing MyVirtualHome onto Windows Vista due to its UAC (User Access Control). The first option will guide you through in how to install MyVirtualHome Windows Vista leaving the UAC turned on, the second involves turning the UAC off. This issue has been fixed in MyVirtualHome v1.8. |
Installing MyVirtulHome onto Windows Vista (UAC Left On) When you insert the MyVirtualHome CD the MyVirtualHome CD Launcher will appear, Install will be the first option. When you click install an error window will appear that will display ‘unable to run program’. To install MyVirtualHome follow the steps below. |
- Place your MyVirtualHome CD into the CD drive.
- After a moment or two the Autoplay window will appear, close it.
- Click on the Start Tab and navigate to Computer, or press the E key while the Start key is held down. The Computer window will appear.
- Right click on the MyVirtualHome logo and select Explore.
- The MyVirtualHome CD window will appear, find the file named Setup.exe and double click on it.
- The MyVirtualHome Install Wizard will now begin.

Installing MyVirtulHome onto Windows Vista (UAC Turned Off) This option involves turning off the Windows Vista User Access Control (UAC) to be able to install MyVirtualHome. To Install MyVirtualHome by turning off the User Access Control) (UAC) follow the steps below. |
- Click on the Start Tab in the Task Bar.
- Select Control Panel.
- Select Turn User Access Control on or off.
- Click Ok.
- Place your MyVirtualHome CD into the CD drive.
The MyVirtualHome CD Launcher window will appear.
- Click on Install
The MyVirtualHome Install Wizard will now begin.
